Fernando Esquivel 

 

Fernando Esquivel has led Global and Regional Human Resources organizations for Top Fortune 500 Companies.

 

Most recently Fernando was the Head of Human Resources for Mylan Inc, who is one of the world’s leading generics and specialty pharmaceutical companies, providing products to customers in approximately 150 countries.  Responsible of setting the strategy for Human Resources for the corporation to secure the plan to hire, develop and retain talent in line with the business strategy and objectives. The Major area of focus was to establish the foundation to develop a scalable and sustainable HR Strategy and organization to support Mylan’s business growth. The HR organization was integrated of 200+ HR Professionals in more than 25 countries.  Mylan’s revenue is close to US$ 7 Billion and has more than 20,000 employees around the world.

 

Previously, Fernando was the Human Resources Vice-President for the Americas Region of Eaton’s Electrical Sector, a $4.1 billion dollars business in the Americas; the largest revenue and organization business unit of Eaton Corporation at that time with more than 17,000 employees across the Americas Region. The Electrical Sector included the Power Quality Operations, Power Distribution Operations, Electrical Components Operations, Engineering Services, Sales and Marketing among others. 

 

Prior to Eaton Fernando worked for Microsoft Corporation where he was Human Resources Senior Director for Microsoft’s WW Enterprise and Partner Group, Public Sector and Communications Sector.

 

From 2003 to 2008, Fernando Esquivel was the Human Resources Director for Microsoft Asia Pacific. The Asia Pacific Region includes India, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

 

Before joining Microsoft, Fernando worked as a Human Resources manager in Latin America for The Clorox Company.  Previously he worked for The Procter & Gamble Company in Mexico.

 

Fernando has lived in the United States, Singapore and Mexico.

 

He has an MBA from the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.  He graduated as a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer from the same university in Mexico City.
